in a spreadsheet format.\u00a0 This can be useful for the following reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can keep backups of your data.\u00a0 It&#8217;s always good practice to save backups of any data periodically.<\/li>\n<li>It can allow you to view the data locally and perform your own calculations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Data can be downloaded for your entire account (or portfolio, if you have <a title=\"The Portfolio Feature on AdjustedCostBase.ca\" href=\"https:\/\/www.adjustedcostbase.ca\/blog\/the-portfolio-feature\/\">multiple portfolios<\/a>) or for individual securities.\u00a0 After logging into AdjustedCostBase.ca, you&#8217;ll be able to see a link to download all your data near the bottom of the page:<\/p>\n<p><a security&#8217;s page, you&#8217;ll be able to download data for that security only:<\/p>\n<p><a downloaded in two formats:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excel (.xlsx)<\/li>\n<li>Comma-Separated Value (.csv)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both file types should be compatible with Microsoft Excel, <a title=\"Apache OpenOffice\" href=\"https:\/\/www.openoffice.org\/download\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">OpenOffice Calc<\/a>, and other popular spreadsheet applications.\u00a0 The Excel format will contain some basic formatting of the data, while the CSV format is only basic text.<\/p>\n<p>When you download all data, the spreadsheet will contain a list of all your securities including current ACB values, as well as a list of all transactions.\u00a0 For example:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adjustedcostbase.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/spreadsheet_example.png\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-2\" need to click on &#8220;Enable Editing&#8221; to be able to edit the spreadsheet.<\/p>\n<p>The downloaded spreadsheets can also be uploaded and edited using Google Drive\/Google Sheets and
